  a1                     SOUTHERN CROSS  ENGINE
'Hit & Miss"          Owner Bob & Marion Jensen

This engine was manufactured in Australia in the 1950's. It is one of the last 'Hit and Miss' models. This type of engine was mainly used for pumping water from bores and wells

The engine spent it's working life in the Westwood area on a property called 'Sebastopol'. Previously owned by the Lawrie Family. It was purchased by Bob Jensen (not in photo) in March 95 and then restored

Typically used as an economical method of pumping water out of wells and bores and then for long distances overland.

A very reliable unit.   Engine no 45686
